Who We Are

To work for and with “street and working children (SWC).” With a vision to create a child-friendly nurturing society for SWC, NGO, currently working to ensure this vulnerable section a full-bloom world of enthusiasm and optimism, where their rights are protected, and their childhood breathe the air of survival, protection, development and participation. B K Welfare Foundation (NGO) works in the area of Advocacy and Research, Dalit Welfare, Disability, Education & Literacy, Health & Nutrition, HIV/AIDS, Human Rights, Legal Awareness & Aid, Minority Issues, Right to Information & Advocacy, Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation, Vocational Training, Women Development & Empowerment, etc. The organization works towards the promotion of sustainable development.

The Foundation conducts programs impacting national issues in the field of skill development, women welfare and empowerment, vocational training and health awareness. The present governing body comprises of veterans from Education and Vocational training.

The Foundation belief in ‘smart partnering‘ as one of the ways to create value for both businesses and society is reflected in its collaborations with Corporate India. It has experience of implementing employability linked training in sectors like IT/ITeS, Telecom, Beauty & Wellness, Apparel, Retails among others.

Success Stories

Aditi

Aditi’s story is a living example of tenacity and willpower. She refused to let her disability define her, even in the face of mockery. She was a dogged dreamer who looked for ways to improve her abilities. She found hope from the BK Welfare Foundation, which empowers young people with disabilities like her.

Determinated to succeed, Aditi refined her talents and learned new ones through the foundation’s training. She now works proudly at KFC, where she makes ₹12,767 a month. Her tale serves as an inspiration for tenacity and evidence that potential is not limited by a disability. With her freedom, Aditi has regained her dignity and achieved financial stability.

Jyoti

Jyoti, who came from a lowly home, longed for a steady work. Her perseverance brought her to the attention of BK Welfare Foundation, who helped and acknowledged her talent. They were successful in getting her a job at Vangoo where she makes 17,767 rupees a month. Jyoti’s story shows how perseverance and the strength of a supportive community can help turn aspirations into reality.

Manshi

Mansi! As the name suggests, she is indeed the Voice of Heart of everyone. Locomotive disability didn’t stop her to walk and work in the direction of success. She got enrolled in the Pankh Programme of B K Welfare Foundation in association with Trrain and by the end of rigorous training, she got the job in CCD in the heart of Delhi, Cannaught Place and is earning Rs. 21,000/- on monthly basis. Now, she is confident and is working hard to make her dream happen in real. She is happy that now everyone in her surrounding respects her for what she is and not being defined by her adversities. She is utterly thankful to B K Welfare Foundation (NGO) for the continuous support and handholding in her success.

Sanjana

Mobilisation brought more of the adversities in the life of a young girl, Sanjana! In 2014, her family moved to Delhi with the ray of hope of better livelihood and future but the destiny had planned something else. She needed to quit education out of financial crisis. Upset Sanjana got identified by the Mobilisation Team of B K Welfare Foundation and hence got enrolled in TrrainHer Programme. Now, the destiny has served her path with flowers and she is earning Rs. 21,000/- per month as a Customer Care Executive. Indeed, Sanjana is a sign of hard-work and perseverance. She is so happy to support her family financially and to continue her education with the help and continuous handholding of B K Welfare Foundation (NGO).
